Mine Closure Quantum Determination
Under GN1520, section 40, the quantum of the pecuniary provision must be based on the provisions of the EMP and the closure objectives. The reporting and determination of the mine closure quantum is thus in a direct response to the above mentioned and must enable the mine to propose the closure cost, both scheduled and unscheduled against high level closure objectives for the period applicable.
